It was great to direct this Music video for ANIMALPERSONA a long term friend of mine.

In tribute to the great Aldous Huxley and his Brave New World, we decided to represent the idea of the “prison of pleasure” contained in the book—a world where people believe they are free, but are actually heavily conditioned.

To achieve this, we developed a very simple graphic language based on the repetition of geometric patterns, where Carles’ free and organic performance contrasts with the linear animations of the backgrounds.

We animated the entire videoclip digitally, then printed all the frames on paper and scanned them back into the computer to achieve that characteristic imperfection of print.
